At Brave Bear Trust we:
- Believe people are not commodities but have value and significance, and that everyone has a part to play in ending exploitation.
- Intend to engage with children where possible through their supporting and trusted adults in education, the community, and home.
- Seek to work through humanitarian organizations to reach children who may be displaced and at an increased risk of exploitation.
Heather Lewis

Heather has spent her career working with young people, many of who have experienced trauma. She has been a supported lodgings provider for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and manages projects at the Mental Health Foundation. She is a passionate advocate for people who have been exploited and has played a lead role in creating the Brave Book and pioneering the work of the charity.

Andy is a Non-Exec Company Director having worked in senior roles in the private, public, and voluntary sectors. He is involved with a number of charities working to address poverty and disadvantage in the UK and internationally.

Bryn is the founder of Blue Bear Coffee Co. He is the host of The Justice & Coffee Podcast which discusses a variety of issues including human trafficking and the former Head of Security for the anti-trafficking INGO Justice and Care.
Georgie Thomas

Georgie is a trustee of Brave Bear Trust. She is a co-founder of ‘Sibling’ a coffee business serving the local community and beyond. She has previously worked as a supervisor at Manumit Coffee Roasters, and has experience in providing care and support for survivors of exploitation.
Nerys King

Nerys works cross-culturally in Thailand, counseling women who have escaped the sex industry. She has a background in Adult Mental Health Nursing, Integrative Therapy, and EMDR trauma work.
